Catching Up

I spent the last week hanging out with my family and getting pre-nostalgic about these last few months where it will just be Dylan and I as a team everyday.

I am obviously beyond excited to bring his sibling into the fold (!!!!) and I know our days will be on a whole new level of awesome once the baby is here (minus the stressful parts of having a newborn, obviously), but things will change and I am aware that Dylan and I will be leaving a special moment in time behind soon. I am squeezing him even tighter than usual these days. I’m basically smothering him, which he doesn’t seem to mind yet, so its all good.

One minute he still seems so small to me, like when I am holding his hand and its so tiny, and then others I feel like he’s tuned into such a big boy. He gets cooler and more fun to hang out with every day and now that he talks pretty fluently and can share his opinions about everything, I feel like I’m really starting to get to know him as a person. Its so cool and I don’t want to miss a thing!

The kids went trick or treating together in Kelly’s neighborhood on Wednesday. It was pretty cold out so they had to wear jackets with their costumes. People seemed to think their matching jackets were the costumes.

This was a pretty cute pumpkin-snowman decoration:

I had a great dinner out in Portsmouth with Katie on Halloween night while my mom stayed home with Dylan.

We went to Agave Mexican Bistro and I had a delicious chili relleno dish:

I took a drive up to Meredith, NH with Dylan and my parents one afternoon this week.

Here my dad was showing Dylan a little waterfall before we went into Giuseppe’s Pizzeria & Ristorante for lunch

It was a fun afternoon and Dylan enjoyed walking around Meredith after we ate.

Be back soon with the weekend recap!

p.s. Sorry about the lack of posts this week…I thought my parents’ wi-fi has been down this whole time but it turns out if I stand in the kitchen I can post this so I’ll send another post along soon!
