I’m writing this in the hotel on my iPhone as I put Dylan to sleep. I could so easily close my eyes and zonk out myself right now but I want to rent a movie with Jay so I’m trying to stay awake.
The last two days have been fun but exhausting in the way that traveling with a toddler can be. Dylan is on a hunger strike even more so than usual, which has me eating more at each meal out of anxiety.
Today we went to the aquarium. Dylan enjoyed running around more than checking out the fish, though he did pause at a few cool tanks to take in the sights. A couple times I had to force him into his stroller just to catch my breath from chasing him around!
Jason has been working almost nonstop. He had planned to take the week off but a few new projects have popped up and he’s had to run to a number of meetings.
Gosh, this is a boring post! Sorry, I guess writing while I’m half asleep in bed isn’t conducive to blogging. What’s better, a boring post or no post at all? Hmmm…something to ponder.
Last night after Dylan was asleep my mom stayed in our hotel room while Jay and I went down to a fancy restaurant in the hotel for dinner. It was so fun!
To perk things up I’m going to tell you a secret.
Ready?
I haven’t worn open-toed shoes in four years because I dropped a 25-pound weight on my big toe once and it hasn’t looked the same since. There is a surgery I can get that might fix it or it might not, but my insurance doesn’t cover it and I can’t justify the expense right now. Summer in Georgia is fast approaching and I’m already dreading how hot my feet get stuffed into sneakers. I am totally embarrassed by my foot situation. (But apparently not enough to prevent me from sharing it with all of you!)
The way this blogging app works I can’t disperse pictures throughout my post, I can only stick them in at the end. (Well, technically, I could but it involves a lot of cutting and pasting and that’s hard to do on an iPhone.) Here are some scenes from the last two days:

Sweet Doll! I’m glad your having fun with the family. Please give your Dad & Mom my regrards.
Love you,
Russ
I loved having dinner with you alone. I want more of that. We will have some awesome meals in LA.
