Some Stuff I Like

by Courtney Sirotin on July 12, 2013

Just a quick post to share some stuff I’m into starting with this soap.

Its by Shea Moisture and contains shea butter and argan oil, which is all the rave for skin and hair these days. Shea Moisture makes a whole line of the shea butter/argan oil products for babies, but we all use this soap in my family. Dylan has eczema and usually needs a little hydrocortisone cream when it acts up, but I haven’t had to use anything on his skin since he started using this soap 4-5 months ago. His eczema has completely disappeared. I love this soap on my skin too because it smells good and is very moisturizing. Its also all natural and organic. I find baby products to be so much better than adult products because manufacturers tend to use higher quality and more gentle ingredients.

They sell all the Shea Moisture products at Target and here’s a link to this soap in particular on Amazon.

As you know, Dylan has a very limited diet and I have to get creative when it comes to getting vitamins in him. I really like these organic nutritional shakes for kids by Orgain.

I buy the vanilla and chocolate flavors in bulk and give Dylan one a day. It has enough calcium in it to take the place of a glass of milk along with a full panel of vitamins and all organic ingredients. They also contain fruits and vegetables!

Here’s how they compare to and surpass typical nutritional shakes for kids like Pediasure Sidekicks:

I buy them at Whole Foods and here’s a link to them on Amazon.

Last but not least, I’ve been using Alba Botanica’s shampoo and conditioner products for years now exclusively. I buy all the different varieties but like the gardenia set the best (not pictured here because I just ran out and I’m using up these old ones.)

Even the ones I don’t like the most I still like a lot. They are all very gentle, have no harsh ingredients, and leave my hair feeling clean and hydrated. What I do with my hair after that is always a struggle, but at least washing and conditioning it is easy! What’s also awesome about these hair products is that you can buy them in the natural section of most grocery stores so you don’t have to go out of your way to a salon. You can also get the shampoos and conditioners on Amazon.

I’m signing off with these pictures of Dylan relaxing by the pool because it’s cute!
