It appears I’m gaining notoriety in some unruly circles.
Yep, I’m totally famous…in the Land of Mess.
Check out my blog’s first write up on the internet!
I was recently contacted by a man who goes by the name of Mr. Messy (I love that we emailed back and forth a few times and he never revealed his real name). He runs the blog All About Messy and I consider him a kindred spirit on the web! We have a lot in common even beyond disorder.
Mr. Messy’s blog is, “an exploration of all that is messy in our world and our lives; messes that are simple and messes that are elaborate; the good, the bad and the messy.” He basically explores the topic of messiness from all angles.
I’ve had a great time combing through All About Messy’s archives and learning things like the Scientific Definition of Messiness and reading this quote that he pulled from a book entitled, The Messy Self, by Jennifer Rosner, Ph.D. in Philosophy from Stanford University:
“There is nothing simple about being a self. Even the drive for simplicity is complicated; the yearning for tidiness, messy. Being a self is messy and we are messy selves.” So true!
Keep up the good work, Mr. Messy!

What would life be without a mess! All of the best times end with a mess, then you savor and linger over the moments and plan for the next one as you clean it up!
I am embracing mess too! I sing the mess maker song to Julia all the time! She will definitely be a next generation mess maker 🙂 Especially meal time, it can be quite unbelievable!
Yes! That song should play on a loop when you land on this site. I love it!
