Howdy! How were your weekends? Dylan kept us very busy this weekend. He gets into everything all the time and our house perpetually looks like it was hit by a tornado. We got out and did a few things too, which I’ll share. Scattered throughout this recap are some unofficial commercials for products and places (i.e. Gorilla Glue and Target). I don’t have much of an explanation for this, I think Jay was just giving shout outs to some of his favorite brands. Maybe?
Saturday
Dylan can bust through all normal baby-proofing products so we we had to kick things up a notch to keep him in the house and out of the junk food.
Unofficial Gorilla Glue Commercial:
We went out for lunch Saturday afternoon. Nothing fancy, just a nearby Mexican place.
Dylan wanted to run around the restaurant. We bribed him with a trip to Target to get him to stay in his seat. He looooves walking around Target.
Unofficial Target Commercial:
We were planning to let him pick out a toy. He only has eyes for tools these days. He ended up picking out another version of the many tools he already has. He’s a bit of a collector, I suppose.
Dylan Gets MORE Tools:
Back home, I captured this cute video of Jay making Dylan laugh by acting like a turkey. I took this a good five minutes into the hysterics so Dylan’s laughs are softened a bit, but there are still a few good ones.
Dylan Busts a Gut:
Last video of the day is Jay sneaking up on Dylan who was sneaking a piece of chocolate. Here you can also see how he tears through the house when he gets on a mission.
Sunday
We went to the North Georgia State Fair on Sunday. It was ridiculously packed and there were lines for the rides but Dylan had a good time anyway. I wouldn’t say the same for Jay.
This is, sadly, the closest he’s ever come to eating an apple.
The highlight of Dylan’s day was riding on a roller coaster next to a little girl. He gets so happy whenever he’s in proximity to little girls.
I don’t think she knew what to make of him.
I don’t have much more to show for Sunday. We got smoothies on the way home from the fair and then I ran out to the store while Jay stayed home with Dylan. When I got back, Jay went to the gym. After Dylan went to bed I made a batch of brownies that contain spinach, blueberries and ground oats. I’m hoping to trick Dylan into eating them tomorrow. That’s about it!
Hope you all have great Mondays!
