What does your kid do with M&M’S?

Eat them?

Not mine.

How about beans?

Or water?

What does your kid do to relax? Cuddle?

Not mine. My kid likes to scoop…

And dump…

And pour…

Really, though, Dylan finds such peace in the act of moving a product from one vessel to another. We call it “playing cups”. I’ll say, “Dylan, do you want to play cups in the tubby?” Or, “Want to play cups with beans?” He will always drop whatever he’s doing to play cups. He gets lost in the activity, too, and will serenely scoop and dump and fill and pour for a half hour, easy. I’m usually the one to call it quits first.

I’m curious, do all toddlers enjoy playing cups this much?

Sammy, Kurt’s little boy of 21/2, LOVES to scoop, dump, fill, and pour with all of his construction toys, big and small!!
